Skullcandy on Monday launched ‘Barricade’ series of water-resistant Bluetooth speakers for India, which will be available in three sizes, i.e. Barricade Mini, Barricade, and Barricade XL. The Barricade Mini and Barricade are already available online as well as with select retailers throughout the country, however, Barricade XL will be made available this ‘holiday season’ by the company.
“The new Skullcandy speakers come packed with a powerful loudness-to-size ratio that doesn’t sacrifice quality acoustics, as well as an iconic, stainless steel accented design that’s stylish enough for any room in the home and durable enough for outdoor adventure,” the company said in its press release.
The Barricade speaker, middle variant the product line, comes with IPX7 waterproof rating, a floatable design, and up to 8 hours of battery life. It comes with support for external device charging, built-in microphone, and AUX in/out functionality that allows it to connect with multiple speakers. The Barricade has been priced by the company at Rs. 5,999.
The most compact and lightweight speaker of the new line, Barricade Mini, comes with battery life up to 6 hours and has a durable body that is resistant to impact and floatable design like on the Barricade. The Barricade Mini has been priced by the company at Rs. 3,499.
The top of the line product from the Bluetooth speaker series, Barricade XL, comes with all the features included in the Barricade and has a battery life of up to 10 hours. The XL variant comes with twice the driver power as the Barricade and has been priced by the company at Rs. 11,999.
