How do I get my toshiba laptop to charge?

I just got a new Toshiba laptop. It’s been plugged in for a couple hours, it says it’s charging, but when I unplug it, it dies. I’ve tried taking the battery out and putting it back in but it doesnt work. It says “0% available (plugged in, charging) The battery cant be dead, it’s straight out of the package!

It is possible for the battery to be bad, even though it’s new. Call the place you purchased the computer, or even Toshiba, and they’ll figure out what’s going on.
