Is the PlayStation 4 about to get a price drop in North America?

It looks like the PlayStation 4 might be about to get a price drop in North America.

According to US retailer Target (via Destructoid), the price of the PS4 is about to be cut by $50.

While Sony is yet to make an announcement, a Target ad suggests the console will now retail at $349.

The company did recently cut the price of the PS4 in Japan, and Xbox studio head Phil Spencer believes that Sony will follow that up with a reduction in Europe and North America.

Spencer believes that the announcement will be made soon, possibly during Paris Games Week at the end of October.

It was previously revealed that the PS4 has as much as a 90% market share in some parts of Europe.
