lg-g5

LG G5 pre-orders are starting to open up. SIM-free you’re looking at £529, while contracts are starting at £31 per month. All the latest info below!

It’s all change at the top in the flagship smartphone world, as after the slightly disappointing G4, LG has pulled out all the stops for its next flagship.

Now the LG G5 has been officially announced we know it has an always-on 5.3-inch QHD screen, a dual-lens camera, a metal body, a ‘magic slot’ for customisable hardware and enough power to go blow-for-blow with the Samsung Galaxy S7.

In short, the LG G5 is a phone that’s set to impress when it lands in stores in April.

If you’re already impressed, you might be wondering where you can get it and how much it will cost you. If you’re in that camp, you’re in luck, as we’ll bring you all the information from retailers and networks as it’s revealed, with this article constantly updated with the information from all the UK’s top outlets.

EE

EE has flung open its LG G5 pre-order doors and if you’re in the first 2,000 you’ll be treated a B&O Play H3 headphones and S3 speaker set worth over £400.

The highlighted deal on the EE site requires you to pay £9.99 up front for the G5, and then £39.99 every month for two years. In return you’ll get 4GB of data, unlimited texts and minutes, double speed 4G and EU roaming.

You can pay as little as £29.99 per month, but you’ll have to stump up £99.99 upfront and you’ll get just 1GB of data.

There’s no firm release date, but EE says stock is “usually dispatched within 15 days, to you or your local EE store.”

O2

You can register for updates on the LG G5 over at O2, which will also be stocking the flagship smartphone in the near future. We don’t know exactly when, and we don’t have any prices just yet – but it’s on its way.

Vodafone

Vodafone has the LG G5 listed on its ‘devices coming soon’ page, but there’s no sign of a release date or price just yet.

Three

Bad news Three fans, the network has confirmed to techradar that it won’t be stocking the LG G5. ?

Carphone Warehouse

Carphone Warehouse currently has the cheapest LG G5 SIM-free price with its web exclusive offering just £499.99.

If you don’t have that sort of money to part with right now, Carphone also offers a range of tariffs from EE, Vodafone, O2 and iD. You can get yourself a free LG G5 on O2 for £37.50 per month, with 1GB of data and unlimited calls and texts.

Those who pre-order also get a set of B&O Play headphones worth £149 for free.

Other retailers

Over on Mobiles.co.uk you can pre-order the LG G5, and a free handset from O2 at £31 per month with 3GB of data and unlimited calls and texts is one of the best looking deals around. There’s also an estimated delivery date of April 4.

If you want to grab the LG G5 SIM free, MobileFun has its pre-orders open and an asking price of £529.

Pre-orders are also open at Expansys, with the SIM free LG G5 priced at £529.99 and both the Titan (grey) and silver colour variants available.

Meanwhile, Clove has the Titan, silver and gold LG G5 handsets up for pre-order, all of which are priced at £529. There’s free B&O in-ear headphones (worth £149) and a £30 off voucher for LG’s friend range thrown in too.

Unlocked-Mobiles also has the trio of colours available for pre-order, with a SIM free price of £529.98. And it also gives us a tentative LG G5 release date of April 12.
