Official battery case for the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus

Third-party battery cases are no longer your only option if you’re after extra juice for your iPhone 6S – Apple has just come up with an official solution.

The Smart Battery Case comes with a built-in power cell that provides an extra 25 hours of talktime or 18 hours of 4G web browsing.

Available in white and charcoal colour options, the accessory resembles Apple’s other cases for the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, but with added length and thickness.

Unlike unofficial battery cases, users can monitor how much power is left in the cover from their notifications centre and charge the accessory with their Lightning cable.

The Smart Battery Cases are available at £79.99 a pop.

It is yet to be confirmed whether Apple is planning to release official battery cases for earlier iPhone models.
