Not many people got the appeal or saw the point of a Galaxy S5 Neo derivation released more than a year after the standard model with extremely similar overall specifications, an Exynos processor replacing a Snapdragon, and no fingerprint sensor or 32GB internal storage option.

But for the few that did embrace the summer 2015-unveiled mid-ranger pre-loaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop, Samsung has a surprise in store. One you probably lost all hope for, or at least expected its delivery later on, considering there are still a handful of far more popular Galaxy phones stuck on OS build L internationally.

According to multiple online reports, the official over-the-air Marshmallow rollout is underway across the old continent, from London to Berlin and Amsterdam to Athens. We’re talking the European-specific SM-G903F version here, while the Canadian G903W is for the time being kept out of the loop.

No words on the exact size and regional particularities of the Android 6.0.1 goodie pack, though we suspect it’ll tip the scales at no less than 1GB and contain all the household performance, battery life, security and accessibility improvements. Doze Mode, Now on Tap, you know what to look forward to.
