Things are about to heat up in the Windows 10 tablet space, as Samsung has just launched a new Surface Pro 4 rival.

Dubbed the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S, the Windows 10-powered slate is also an iPad Pro challenger thanks to its oversized 12-inch form factor.

This sizeable display should offer stunningly sharp visuals thanks to the 2160 x 1440 pixel resolution spread across the 12-inch Super AMOLED panel.

About more than just a visually impressive and sizeable screen, the 4G-connected slate offers plenty of grunt too thanks to Intel’s sixth-generation Core M processor and a massive 4GB of RAM.

It’s not just a slate, either – the hybrid device comes bundled with a slimline keyboard case that connects to the sleek, 6.3mm-thick, 693g tablet.

The dual-stance accessory is just one of a number of TabPro S ad-ons being offered, with an Apple Pencil-echoing stylus and multi-port adaptor also on the cards.

Offering a full day’s use on a single charge, the dual 5-megapixel camera hosting device benefits from a massive 5,200mAh battery that provides 10.5 hours’ use between trips to the mains.

When you do have to plug it in, it’ll re-juice quickly too, with quick charge skills taking it back to full life in just 2.5 hours.

Although an exact Samsung Galaxy TabPro S release date and price have yet to be confirmed, the big-S has revealed the 2-in-1 device will hit retailers from next month.
