Save $100 on Apple Watch

Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals have come and gone. But you can still find a bargain at Best Buy, which has knocked $100 off all Apple Watches in its inventory.

Consumers can now stuff stockings with a base-model 38mm Sport for just $249; the 42mm version is only $299. The mid-level Apple Watch with stainless steel casing is also available in a range of Sport Band colors for $449 or $499; add a Milanese Loop band and the price rises to $549 (38mm) or $599 (42mm).

Best Buy does not appear to sell the 18-karat-gold-cased Watch Edition.

The price drop comes amidst rumors that Cupertino will unveil its second-generation Apple Watch in March. 9to5Mac reported that Apple will unveil the new wearable at a March media event. The new Apple Watch, with a built-in camera and new wireless technology, could ship as early as April—a year after the original model hit the market.

So Best Buy could be trying to clear out its inventory in advance of Apple Watch 2, or simply trying to drum up more fourth-quarter holiday sales in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

It appears other retailers have similar deals. As noted byEngadget, Target is offering a $100 gift card with thepurchase of an Apple Watch. That comes after Target said the Apple Watch was “especially popular in stores,” over Black Friday.
