Microsoft has revealed the price of its 1TB Surface Book 2-in-1, and it ain’t cheap.

Available now for pre-order, a Surface Book with 1TB of SSD storage, 16GB of RAM, and a sixth-gen Core i7 processor retails for a whopping $3,199.

That’s more than the cost of a 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display and a 2TB Fusion Drive, which costs $2,299.

The Surface Book sports a 13.5-inch PixelSense touch-screen display that serves as a standalone slate, or attaches to a keyboard for full laptop versatility. Equipped with the Windows 10 operating system, it weighs only 3.34 lbs, and comes with the Surface Pen stylus. The 1TB version is not expected to ship until Jan. 22.

Introduced earlier this month, the new 2-in-1 starts at $1,499 for 128GB hard drive, Intel Core i5 processor, and 8GB of memory. But there are a variety of configurations available, all the way up to $3,199. Redmond’s new laptop also features an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, which supports Windows Hello face authentication.

The Surface Book arrives Oct. 26. The i5 models will ship within five to six weeks; the dual GPU models ship in seven to eight weeks.
